POSITIONING OUR CUSTOMER FOR GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
After supplying one of our largest aggregate customers with a bolt-down media system for years, they wanted to increase their production in the most cost-effective way possible. After discussing options with this customer, we designed our RSX modular media system with a significantly increased open area to boost our customer’s throughput, allowing them to hit their new production goals for that year and eliminating the need to purchase new, larger, and more costly equipment.
ONE SIMPLE CHANGE EXPONENTIALLY INCREASED WEAR LIFE
An iron ore mine in eastern Canada had been experiencing decline in wear life with their current supplier and needed to find a product that would increase their wear life by 2-3 times. According to calculations, a wear life increase would allow them to prevent unplanned shut downs and stay on a regular maintenance cycle. After visiting the site and reviewing the application, our team was able to increase wear life exponentially at the mine with just a simple material change to Rockshield's superior open cast urethane compounds.
REDUCED PLUGGING = INCREASED THROUGHPUT
A gold mine in central Canada needed to find a solution to a material plugging issue in one of their vibrating screens. Having seen this issue many times in the past, Rockshield was able to assess the application and create a new panel design, utilizing it's 40 durometer rubber to help deter the plugging. This change reduced the amount of plugging from 90% to 5% and allowed the mine to increase their throughput significantly.
